My husband has been battling Multiple Myeloma for over 4 years now. This cancer is not curable but, is manageable and he has finally gotten into remission. It has really impacted our lives. We’ve had to sell our family home, including my huge workshop, to move closer to the cancer center treating his cancer. I’ve had to build a new workshop at the home we currently live in. I am finally getting back to turning. I hope to have many new items posted soon.
It’s that time of year again! The woodturning demonstrations will be September 20-21, 2014 in the Creative Arts Building at the Oklahoma State Fair. Please join us to see how we make our turnings. Feel free to ask questions or purchase the pieces displayed. Also be sure to look at the entries on display in the Gallery, where you will see an abundance of ribbons on the turnings displayed there. But most of all enjoy yourselves and have a fun weekend!

With Christmas just around the corner, I’ve been turning beautiful long finial Christmas Ornaments and adorable little birdhouses to hang on the Christmas Tree. They are on display and for sale at Dean-Lively Gallery in Edmond, Oklahoma and Murcer’s Jewelry and Fine Gifts in Chandler, Oklahoma. So if you have a tradition of finding that one of a kind ornament each year, take a look, I think you’ll be glad you did!
